About Ben Connors and the Benja-Blog
I’m Ben Connors, and I’m a professional video editor for an international news network based in Washington, DC. I’m also a freelance Visual Storyteller, which means I shoot, produce, write, create graphics, code HTML and PHP and can even get in front of the lens. I get soap-boxy about about the global commons, and the free flow of information both journalistic and cybernetic. I’m very interested in the maker scene, and the phenomenon of world as canvas/game-board. I’m a secular humanist, a beer snob, and I’m into endurance sports.
Credit for the title of this site goes to my parents. Everyone knows me as Ben now… but my real name is Benjamin. When I was a little guy… everything that belonged to me was honored with the prefix ‘benja.’ I had benjabooks in my benjabag I’d read them lying under my benjablanket. I’m an adult now and I realize that my intellectual content is spread across a very wide space. I needed a way to bring it all together, and so I started the Benja-Blog!
The Benjablog is
- A one stop shop for all things Benja
- A place for me to park my soapbox
- An attempt to define my interests
